Workshop Description
What: Autumn Illustration Workshop to learn how to do an independent illustration from start to finish. When: Saturday, 20th April 2024 @ 10am-1pm Who: Kasia Hebda is a Polish artist, art conservator and designer based in Queenstown, specializing in nature inspired illustration. She creates bespoke designs, illustrations, murals and interior décor. Price: $95 Per Person (3hrs) *All materials included but bring a sketchbook if you have one. Join me for a relaxing and mindful workshop at Tikki Studio as we enjoy the beautiful surroundings and celebrate the colourful autumn season. We live in a world where people are increasingly separated from nature, often viewing their surroundings through cameras and screens, frequently unable to find the time to pause and take it all in. This can leave us feeling somewhat disconnected. In this workshop, you will dedicate your full attention to observing and drawing with an aim to reconnect with the natural world. You don’t need any artistic experience to participate, just a love for plants and nature. - Follow me as I guide you through the process and share how I gather inspiration for my work. We will begin with a walk to discover interesting specimens, bringing our sketchbooks to document our observations and reflections. -We will engage in relaxed observational drawing activities, beginning with a series of warm-up exercises to loosen up and prepare for sketching. Our final composition will be crafted on high-quality paper using mixed media techniques, incorporating materials such as pencils, pastels, coloured pencils and watercolours. -You will depart feeling relaxed, with an illustration that you have created - which you may choose to keep for yourself or gift to someone special. Most importantly, you will learn how to initiate an illustration project independently, from start to finish. This workshop is suitable for all abilities and allows participants to work at their own pace. With plenty of help and guidance, including demonstrations during the workshop highlighting specific drawing and painting techniques suitable for the art of illustration. Light refreshments will be provided for extra coziness.

T I K K I Studio Cancellation Policy: - Cancellation within 14 days before the course start date, the total sum minus 3% for admin fees will be refunded. - Cancellation less than 7 days before the course start date, 50% refund of the course cost - Cancellation after the course start date, no refunds are permitted.
