Workshop Description

My Handmade Wardrobe Duration: 1.5 hr weekly sessions (6 weeks) PLUS home work Level: Intermediate (Completed Sewing Basics B class or confident sewist) Project: Button-up Shirt Wanna make your own clothing and start creating your own handmade wardrobe? In this course, the participants will be making a Button-up Shirt. We will as usual, have a detailed look at a sewing pattern front to back and learn how to read the pattern and the associated information. Through this course, we will also be learning how to take our body measurements and getting comfortable with our own unique body, which we will apply to the pattern so we can make a garment that fits us. By the end of the course, you will be walking away with a garment, have a good understanding of how to read a pattern and sewing instructions, gain more knowledge about types of fabric and materials, and most importantly, feel confident about your skills and abilities!
